Interesting discussion yet again. Great how this keeps popping up. Really it
is only through broad and oft repeated discussion that any form of consensus
can be arrived at. The more often this occurs and with more participants the
better. I have missed some of this lot but have a question. What do dual
role radiographers think in this regard? I am more than happy to called a
radiographer but find that some callers to the department are adamant that
they wish to speak with the sonographer. They obviously have it in their
mind that this would not be the same person. Similarly I was recently
introduced to visitor to our department as "the sonographer" and was asked
if the chief radiographer was available. Not a big issue but I wonder if
multiple personalities may become an occupational hazard.
