From: "Rita Richter" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Hi Ric
The Endoscopy team comes into our Radiology department twice a week. They use our fluoroscopy room with tilting table. There needs to be enough space around the table for them to place their monitor, our xray TV and the anaesthetic machine. The radiographer can screen for the Gastro Dr from either in the room or by remote, depending on your equipment. The endoscopy team bring with them a mobile stand with all their own catheters, tubes, ancillary equipment, drugs etc. We have a DD cupboard in the recovery area which is just outside this room. The fluoro room is just a fluro room, not a full surgical room with positive pressures. The system works quite well. Doing it this way allows us to keep the radiographer in the department (and use them for other things when there are delays with the ERCP's). It also allows us to put the images onto CR and PACS which makes it easier for the reporting. The Gastro Dr can consult with the Radiologist nearby. Hope that helps Rita Richter +=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+= This message is being broadcast by AIRNEWS, the Australian Institute of Radiography list Server Send messages to [EMAIL PROTECTED] For assistance send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Commands should be sent to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Opinions expressed on this list are not necessarily those of the moderator, his assistants or those of the A.I.R.
