Anyone intending to register for the Cairns conference should be aware that it is critical that they register as soon as possible, or it may become very difficult to get accommodation. At present three Hotels are holding a sufficient quantity of rooms to meet the needs of the conference; however as the conference draws nearer the Hotels come under pressure from the tourist market to make unsecured rooms available. This is allowed for in our contracts. The Conference benefits from delegates' early registration in two ways. Firstly, we can ensure that sufficient rooms are available, and secondly, when we book certain numbers of rooms, the Hotels give us a free room or upgrade that we can use for special invited speakers. This all adds up to a successful conference experience. If you receive this email and know of anyone who is planning to go the conference but has not yet registered, please ask them to give it an urgent priority. This will help to avoid the disappointment and obvious headache to having to find other accommodation.
