Hello everyone :)

Over the last few weeks, I've managed sucessfully to compile airo.c
(rev 51) and airo_cs.c (rev 16) in
http://svn.gna.org/viewcvs/airo-wpa/branches/kernel/ and get standard
WPA "kind of working" with my Cisco Aironet 350 series (AIR-PCM352)
11mbps PCMCIA adaptor.

  * Cisco firmware version 5.60.22

  * I'm running Lubuntu 10.04 with kernel 2.6.32-22 generic.

  * System is an old Dell Inspiron 7500 Laptop. A Celeron 433MHz with
PC100 256MB memory. Runs Spotify nicely under Wine, which is a great
reuse of this otherwise "throw in the trash as it's old" hardware.

  * I'm using Network Manager (managed=true) and wpa_supplicant

  * oh, and ndiswrapper is not anywhere near this system :-)

Initially I had the 'bad mic on RX' message logged in syslog crop up
whenever I tried (and failed) to connect up to my wireless router
(Thomson Speedtouch 780).

Pinging and connecting however to network clients attached directly to
the router's built in switch worked fine - it was just hanging pings
and no DNS relay when connecting to the router.

  4-way handshake eapol questions with WPA capable airo driver
  http://lists.shmoo.com/pipermail/hostap/2007-November/016441.html

... I found commenting out #define WPA_CHECK_RX_MIC and recompiling
airo.c WPA works completely with my router, but I would really like to
get MIC correctly in order, so might look at investigating what Jouni
has suggested.

UNLESS - someone knows where/how this code has already been fixed?

Many thanks,
