Direct client is looking for *Technical Writer* Project Duration : 6 months Contract in *Scottsdale, AZ** * Pay Rate : OPEN - DOE Mail your consultants resume to *raj @ varite.com * The role is for a technical writer who will be responsible for analyzing the work flows, processes, and documentation available for Client applications and other systems within Client that are being migrated. The writer will interact with all other IT areas and will be responsible for understanding the system processes and documenting this data. The candidate should be self driven and innovative. Besides being a team player with practical skills the in the creation of Procedural Manuals, User Guides, Quick Reference Guides, Online Help Systems and Functional Specifications the following skills will be viewed as essential Highly Desirable skills include: Ø Ability to understand and document application architecture, process flow and functionality. Ø Ability to understand and document technical specifications Ø Ability to understand and document network topologies Ø Ability to gather and document - build, maintenance, operational and disaster recovery information for applications Ø Ability to develop in Visio - application architecture, process flow, network topology, database architecture, functional model, and support model diagrams Ø Ability to understand networking terminology (LAN, WAN, Gateway, Firewall, IP Addressing, ISP, Router, Switch, and so on) Ø Ability to understand technical terminology (Load balancing, DB terminology, file server, storage metrics, and so on) Ø Experience with the SDLC, Ø Business Analysis skills Ø Excellent written, verbal communication and Presentations skills.
