BEA Weblogic/Aqualogic local to Eden Prairie or Minneapolis, Minnesota

Location: Eden Prairie, Minnesota (outside Minneapolis)
Duration: 6 months +
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Integrate, administer, and support multiple systems.
* Responsible for installation, configuration, management and support
of WLS and ALSB for test and production environments (e.g. property
files, security, connections, domain load balance).
* Administer BEA WebLogic Server (WLS) and AquaLogic Service Bus
(ALSB) including installations, upgrades, initial set-up, management,
and support.
This includes:
o Start and stop the system via the BEA administration consoles and
node manager.
o Design and implement JMS configurations.
o Automate configuration deployment between environments.
o Monitor and adjust system configuration as appropriate.
o Develop ALSB proxy services to facilitate integration between
various systems.
o Develop XQuery and XSLT code to transform messages as they are
routed between systems.
o Automate system logging and reporting tasks including log file
archival and database purging.
* Design, configure, and implement various application layer
monitoring solutions to manage overall system health.
* Participate in selection, installation, configuration, and support
of monitoring tools such as Nagios, Foglight, and OpenView.
* Monitor system tool administration, testing, troubleshooting, and
support.
* Develop ALSB configuration and proxy service.
* Administer, test, troubleshoot, and support Apache/Tomcat and other
systems as required.
* Perform other projects or miscellaneous duties as requested or
assigned
EXPERIENCE
�X 5-8 years experience in systems administration with Windows and Unix
technologies
�X General exposure to a wide range of technologies including internet,
application development, network infrastructure, and business process
�X Experience with Sun Solaris
�X Minimum of 3 years of WebLogic administration experience
�X Working knowledge of WebLogic Server 8.X and 10.X
�X Ability to install, configure and manage WebLogic Server (WLS) and
AquaLogic Service Bus (ALSB)
�X Ability to troubleshoot applications using WebLogic Console and
WebLogic Command-line utilities
�X Apache/Tomcat web server
�X Microsoft Windows server and desktop platforms
�X Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle DBMS
�X Application development: Java and .NET
�X Knowledge of Windows Active Directory domain and security roles,
group policy, user authentication and authorization
�X Familiar with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Access, Visio, Project/
Project Server and Outlook
�X ITIL training is preferred.
