This is a 6 months contract Ann Harbor MI Rate: Give me the least rate * *Position Description:* This is a full time Sr. Systems Engineer position within the Storage team of Client. This position requires the following qualifications: · Flexible and willing to learn new technologies and applications · Able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers possessing a wide range of technical knowledge · Self-motivated and able to work independently on multiple projects · Ability to maintain a positive and cooperative attitude in sometimes stressful situations. · Proven skills analyzing and troubleshooting complex system configurations · Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously · Creative person who looks for new and innovative ways to resolve problems · Effective team player willing to assist others when needed *Primary Responsibilities**:* · Coordinating planning, installing and maintaining storage systems · Troubleshooting storage related issues in a variety of environments · Acting as a technical resource for Platform, Database, Desktop, Development and Business Systems teams · Providing quality customer service to internal and external customers · Investigating and testing new storage technologies and assisting in new storage implementations · Backup and recovery administration · Managing enterprise storage allocations · Storage Area Network (SAN) administration · Network Attached Storage (NAS) Administration · Participation in a 7x24 rotating pager *Minimum Qualifications**: * · Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering or related technical degree or equivalent experience is required · Excellent written and verbal communication skills · 4+ years of IT experience · 2+ years of experience with storage systems · Detailed knowledge of at least one major storage vendor (EMC, HDS, or Network Appliance) · Experience managing a large fibre channel SAN environment. · Proficiency in at least one of the following operating systems: AIX, Solaris, Linux, Windows *Preferred or Desired Qualifications**: * · Hands-on experience with equipment from each of the major storage vendors (EMC, HDS, and Network Appliance) · Experience with tiered storage and the ability to quantify the storage requirements for a particular application · Experience in Administration of Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) on a Unix platform · Hands-on experience with StorageTek Tape & Disk hardware and ACSL -- Thanks & Regards Naveen Veeravalli | US Tech Solutions | Email ID: [email protected] | URL: www.ustechsolutionsinc.com | --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ajax-DOT-NET-FAQ" group.
