Job Description/Skills Required:* • Linux System Administrator responsible for the day-to-day operations, monitoring, troubleshooting, automation, and configuration of the processing center servers and applications. *Responsibilities: * • Install, configure, support and maintain the hardware, software, and operational needs of a highly-available system. • Perform software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages. • Manage, implement & test Linux upgrades, including impact analysis on new features, releases and patches, managing the upgrade project, including testing and Production cutover. Schedule installations and upgrades, and maintain them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures. • Monitors and tunes the system to achieve optimum performance levels. • Ensures workstation/server data integrity by evaluations, implementing and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions. • Ensures data/media recoverability by implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations. • Develops and promotes standard operating procedures. • Manage Helpdesk problem tickets and respond to users with assistance or resolution. *Experience: * • Linux Systems Administration (primarily RedHat Linux, RPM, apache, DNS) (3+ yrs) • Network Administration (ping/traceroute, LAN routing, proxy/firewall) (3+yrs) • Unix Shell Scripting Experience (sh/ksh, perl, cron jobs) (5+ yrs) • Experience with Network Administration and Troubleshooting (3+ yrs) (Nagios, Cacti, Mon, SNMP, etc) • Experience with Cisco networking equipment (Cisco, Pix) • Experience supporting a Java-based development effort. • Experience with VMWare, ver 3.5 & 4.0 • Experience with Storage interfaces to SAN & NAS (EMC) *2.Position: Linux Virtual servers Administrator Duration: 6 Months Location: Tennessee...
