This is my direct-client opening for a *Windows Admin with strong VM Ware Server experience* in El Segundo, CA. This is a 3 Months contract position, with a start date of ASAP (Dec 6th or earlier), and the contract may be extendible. *Job Responsibilities:* Installs new software releases, system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolves software related problems. Performs system backups and recovery. Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity. Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks including system installation, web/application server configuration, backup/recovery, system monitoring, troubleshooting, user administration and database administration. *Prerequisites:* Must be an experienced Windows Admin with strong VM Ware Server (both Server Administration & Virtualization). Any SharePoint experience would be a HUGH plus. Must have good understanding of most of these skills: Web based technologies and tools including Apache, Tomcat, BEA, Oracle DBMS, Veritas Backup Solutions, Microsoft Windows Server 2000-2003, Microsoft IIS, CVS, Linux, Kronos, CITRIX, OnBase, Hyperion Enterprise, and Web Methods. Understanding of business process and computer system design, testing and security methodologies. Strong interpersonal communications and decision making skills, Strong analytical and problem solving skills, Team player, highly motivated individual.
