*Job title: Unix Administrator** ** Duration: Long Term Location: Dallas, TX* *Immediate Interview* This position is to help shore up the Strategic Performance Engineering (SPE) infrastructure that supports Performance Engineering activities. This individual is to share hardware and software technical support for 50 to 60 test servers. Resource will perform and provide software installation, configuration, documentation, and upgrades; performance monitoring; capacity planning, etc. for MS Windows and UNIX (AIX, Solaris) systems. The systems are used to support performance testing 24x7, so some occasional nights and weekends work will be required. The following is a decomposition of some of the work that will be performed: a. Evaluate, install and configure third party iTKO LISA application software, b. Create system administration and configuration documentation, c. Proactively maintain and troubleshoot VMware virtual systems used in a test environment, d. Assist with executing long term test infrastructure roadmap, e. Interface with other Windows and UNIX infrastructure teams and performance testing team to troubleshoot and resolve issues impacting test server availability, f. Configure and administer HP Sitescope performance monitoring tool, g. Administer virtual systems using VMware vCenter Lab Manager, h. Setup and configure Emperix HammerG5 for IVR Testing/Virtualization. The candidate should possess experience in the following areas: a. 9+ years UNIX Systems Administration experience on AIX or Solaris, b. 9+ years Windows Systems Administration experience on Windows Server 2003/2008, Preferred Technical Skills: a. Windows Server Administration on 2008, b. UNIX - AIX v5.3, v6.1, and/or Solaris 9.x, 10.x, c. Shell Script Programming, c. JAVA, WebSphere a plus, d. Knowledge of VMWare vCenter Lab Manager a plus, e.
