This individual will provide Tools support locally to our technology partners and extended support to ISD teams located in San Francisco. The Tools Support Engineer will act as a liaison with Development, QA, IE, CM, and the Software and Hardware Architecture teams. Additional responsibilities include managing the tools infrastructure and interfacing with Ops for all infrastructure related tasks. As a technical lead, the individual will provide ClearQuest, Subversion and ClearCase UCM training and support to the user community, and technical direction to the rest of the Tools team. In addition to ClearQuest, ClearCase UCM, and Subversion support this individual will redirect support for other Tools such as Anthill Pro, Archiva, and Sun N1 to the respective tools owner. The Tools Support Engineer will represent Tools in cross-functional meetings and planning sessions and lead process and quality improvement initiatives to improve efficiency. Responsibilities Include: - Define, document, and maintain standards, procedures, and best practices for ClearQuest and Subversion - Perform general ClearQuest and Subversion administration - Model and update ClearQuest schemas using ClearQuest Designer - Write advanced Perl scripts using the ClearQuest API. Develop ClearQuest hooks. - Create reports for service requests and change requests using Crystal Reports - Provide ClearQuest, Subversion, and ClearCase UCM training to new and existing users. - Assist with the on-boarding of new ISD platforms to ClearQuest. - Administer Rational CM Server 7.1 and higher. Provide support for ClearCase CCRC, CQweb, and UCM. - Perform daily tool administration for ClearQuest and Subversion such as: account management, updating meta-data, schema changes, security management, and integration with other tools. - Implement ISD VAS security model in Subversion - Take ownership of incident management activities and unplanned outages for PPEM Tools happening in the Eastern time zone. - Troubleshoot any backend Oracle database issues for ClearQuest and Berkeley DB (or FSFS) backend database problems for Subversion - Redirect support for other PPEM Tools in Wells East including ClearCase UCM, Anthill Pro, Archiva and N1 to the respective Tools owner. - Publish documentation and administration details for ClearQuest and Subversion.
