*Job Description*

Ø  Solaris, Linux server Installations, trouble shooting and migrations
Ø  Perform advanced trouble shooting of UNIX / Linux failures – L3 level
support.
Ø  Handle escalations from L1 & L2 incident Management team.
Ø  Coordination on Problem analysis and providing RCA.
Ø  Plan, execute and report Availability, Performance & Capacity management
of UNIX servers.
Ø  Coordination with vendor / Service provider for problem resolution.
Ø  Resolving UNIX / Linux Cluster incidents and problems.
Ø  Unix / Linux Patch management
Ø  Plan and execute DR requirements for the tower and coordinate the same at
project and program level requirements.
Ø  Troubleshoot hardware and proved hands and feet support.
Ø  Meet reporting requirements and represent the tower in customer, project,
program meeting and audits as required.
Ø  Manage, maintain & update the Knowledge management database.
Ø  Coordinate with customer in creation of SOP’s, Templates, policies, etc.
And make sure they implemented and effective.
Ø  Making sure that all the resource meets the required security standards,
policy and operations standards, quality guideline and procedure and process
are followed at all times.
Ø  Conduct audits on incident ticket and service request and recommend of
improvements
Ø  Analysis all the incident, service tickets and initiate for Service
improvement and Lean programs.
Ø  Excellent Soft skill, Communications skills(Voice & Email) to handle
global customers
Ø  Process and technical documentation

*Technical Skills Required *
Ø  4 - 7 yrs in Solaris / Red Hat Linux Server Administration
Ø  Expertise on Solaris / Linux L2, L3 support and troubleshooting
Ø  Expertise on VERITAS Volume Manager
Ø  Expertise on VERITAS Cluster Server
Ø  Knowledge on LVM
