*Send the resume on this ID ricky....@panzersolutions.com* ** *Job Description* Design, develop and implement databases using z/OS DB2 version 9 or higher to support the application development and production maintenance activities. Demonstrate in-depth understanding of Database Administration concepts and hands on experience with DB2 database administration tools and utilities under z/OS. Develop and enforce system design/QSL-coding standards. Demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills. Assign and review the work of other developers. Consult with users, and Lead DBA to review and finalize solution design. Perform all aspects of database support and maintenance as directed by the Lead DBA and the Client. Monitor and tune the database and SQL queries. Database Environment Hardware IBM mainframe 2084-302 Operating System s/OS 1.9 *Minimum Qualifications:* Bachelors degree in a related field e.g. computer science 5+ years experience in using mainframe 3+ years of experience in the administration of DB2 database environments, including DB2 Connect, on IBM mainframe z/OS. 2+ years hands on working experience with version 8, 9 and/or 10 of DB2 under z/OS Experience using mainframe toolsets and utilities (i.e., ISPF, JCL, SPUFI) Experience in Performing Application DBA tasks e.g. schema and database creation, load/unload of database, LISTDEF and other DB2 utilities Using LISTDEF 1-2 years database design experience Experience in supporting high-availability database environments and availability for 24x7 Knowledge of the installation and maintenance of complex enterprise system software and Database Management System software. Experience in monitoring and performance tuning using CA Insight?
