Hi everyone,

I know it's quite impolite to ask for such a suggestion, but i have to
choose one 'xor' the other.

I'll probably to have to build (quickly) an "interactive web
replacement" for a database browsing application.

I think the main concern is quality, ease of development (meaning
"less coding" and "clean coding", for example to manage data
modifications back to the server) and versatility of the *datatable/
datagrid* component.

The same for managing *layouts* (i would like not having to specify
fixed positions, hand-code resizing of components in response of a
window-resize component), usual widgets (login/logout box), "nice"
modal dialogs, etc.

Not being sure about how wide will be the range of features i will
have to implement, being feature-rich is nice.

This thing will work in a production environment, so I have to be
careful about *reliability* and *security*, plus license restrictions
(both have at least BSD style or MIT style licenses so i think
licensing it's not a problem).

What do you think, would you suggest between the two in the subject?

I'm very impressed by the Dojo demos and feature list, and I'm also
impressed by the JQuery community and the recent Nokia+MisS
endorsement.

I cannot be sure of what language i will be able to use server-side,
could be either classic asp, php or .net or js*.

I'm approaching now ajax and dynamic web sites after several years of
distance from web development, i've skipped almost all the js*/asp.net
phase.

I AM going to read articles and books (especially on security issues),
btw, but for now I need someone pointing me to the "right" (meaning,
more appropriate) direction.

*thank you* in advance folks,

wish me good luck ;-)
