Client is seeking a Technical Architect who can assist in the communications
and translations across 10-15 teams. The client is expanding its current
domestic infrastructure support to include new businesses in Japan. This new
expansion of international support will span four technology platforms: Network
(voice and data), Mainframe, Wintel, and UNIX.
Role and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the management and maintenance of the enterprise monitoring
tools and processes for a large scale.
High-availability,24x7 production environment.
Work closely with Operations Command Center (OCC).
Responsible for operational support, and business development teams to design.
Implement, and maintain active monitoring and performance metrics collection
across the enterprise.
Primary role will be to develop, test, document, and deploy availability and
performance solutions throughout the enterprise.
Mandatory Skills:
Solid knowledge of operating system internals, file system structures, and
machine architectures on UNIX and Windows operating systems.
Experience with common system administration tools.
Working experience with scripting tools, C++, Perl, CGI, etc.
Relational databases preferably Oracle.
Must have Network (voice and data), Mainframe, Wintel, and UNIX experience.
Basic LAN and WAN network knowledge
Web Technologies such as HTML, XML, XSL,Java
Previous experience in a high availability, 24X7 environment.
Understanding of Data Center coordination and consolidation methodologies
preferred
Experience in managing these tools is a plus:

Tivoli availability monitoring (Candle/Micromuse based Tivoli productline)
IBM Director
HP Enterprise Discovery and Asset Center
HP Business Availability Center and SiteScope
CA AutoSys
CA Wily Customer Experience Manager

Websphere Portal Dashboard and Portlet Factory
Required Bilingual
Candidates are required to have business-level proficiency in reading,
writing and speaking Japanese and English.
Traveling Required:
Travel to Japan will be required
