1.      Project Description
*

The Search Specialist determines client area application System Requirements
and Processes for new or modified application programs in support of a
global Search environment. The professional coordinates and defines system
scope objectives through research and fact finding for development and or
modifications to diversified information systems. This individual must be
competent to work in all phases of systems analysis activities. The role
requires a complete understanding of the Autonomy IDOL product suite as was
as a broad knowledge of the Systems Development Life Cycle.  The proper
candidate also interfaces effectively with Technical Managers in a Global IT
organization.

would work.*


   - Design, configure and maintain multiple enterprise wide Autonomy IDOL
   7.0 installations


   - Performs application design, development and maintenance of .NET
   ADO.NET based web services required to support global search environment


   - Perform detailed requirements analysis and verification, ensuring that
   requirement statements are complete, concise and verifiable
   - Ensure that all critical issues are communicated to the Project Manager
   for resolution in a timely manner
   - Consult with internal customer management regarding the identification,
   specification and impact of complex system requirements and processes,
   validation of business rules.
   - Use knowledge of data modeling and data flow diagrams to determine
   client area application system requirements for  new or modified
   application programs
   - Participate in the development and review of documents to comply with
   the System Development Life Cycle methodologies (e.g. Project Charter,
   Project Management Plan, Requirements Specifications, Cost Benefit
   Analysis....)
   - Translate the business requirements into functional specifications to
   support the build and testing phases in the System Development Life Cycle
   - Conduct, monitor and validate that knowledge transfer to appropriate
   staff occurs continuously throughout the project
   - Monitor adherence to quality assurance procedures and completion of
   user acceptance testing, and recommend actions to the Project Manager or
   designee, for resolution

·         Superior .NET and ADO.NET experience

·         Excellent interpersonal, communications and project management
skills

·         Sound judgment and tact

·         The ability to work effectively with customers, management and
technical staff

C.  Additional Information

*1.   Desired Educational or Professional Candidate background:*

      Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or
equivalent work experience

Ability to work in a team environment with technically skilled individuals

*2.   Other Comments (include travel requirements, if any):*

·         approximately 5-7 years of experience in systems analysis and or
application program development

·         extensive experience with state of the art application development
support software packages
·         Experience working with diverse platforms/operating system
environments and knowledge   of associated integration issues
