Position : Senior Software Engineer
Location : White Plains, NY
Duration : 6-12 months, if the consultant is doing well then they will go
12+ months White Plains, NY minimum.
Rate : $50/hr Not Negotiable.
C++ and Shell Scripting proficiency are required in a Linux environment
The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for:
a.. Evaluating product requirements and developing detailed specifications
b.. Designing, coding, testing, debugging, and integrating effective
solutions
c.. Writing product support documents and procedures
d.. Maintaining products with periodic releases as necessary
e.. Addressing client support inquires as required
f.. Researching product complaints and recommending solutions
Experience and Skills
This is a senior developer position where C++ and Shell Scripting proficiency
are required in a Linux environment. Qualified candidate must have five or more
years in Software Development which have included development activities that
revolve around the full project life-cycle. Responsible for maintenance
releases, will assist in production support activities as needed, and will
participate in new design and coding initiatives. The candidate must be
familiar with standard software version control practices and be capable in
writing technical documents
Qualified candidates must have:
· 5 plus years of experience in the IT industry
· Experience with C/C++, shell scripting
· Experience with MySql, Oracle, or other relational databases with
back-end experience
· In depth knowledge of Linux or Unix operating systems
· Exposure to Perl a benefit
· Financial background experience helpful.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
