QA Lead Tester

This person will: analyze business and technical requirements;
contribute to test approach (plan) development, develop test scripts; perform
unit testing, Integrated Unit, system and integration testing; may assist with
user acceptance testing and log defects and perform regression testing when
environment changes occur and/or defect fixes are ready for retest and identify
test scripts that can be used to develop an automated regression suite. This
person will test the security of applications and document test
results.Candidates must be capable of performing effectively in a team as well
as independently. This person will communicate effectively (verbally and
written) with team members and management regarding the status of testing and
will effectively elevate critical issues. The position may require specialized
Insurance industry experience and/or knowledge of particular
products.Responsibilities: Review requirements documents and product
specifications.Develop test scripts/cases based on requirements.Load test cases
into Quality
CenterWork with developers to execute test plans, test cases and perform Unit,
functional and regression testing.Provide input into required test data and
test environments.Follow guidelines defined in the test plan to ensure quality
of release.Perform testing according to the test plan.Record issues in issue
tracking software (Quality Center).Analyze issues and determine if issue needs
to be escalated to QA .
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelors degree and/or minimum4 years of experience in a QA environment.
Computer Science or technical degree strongly preferred.
Knowledge of Test Management Tools - Quality Center 8.0, Test Director. Strong
problem solving, analytical skills.Experience testing web applications of web
technologies and the Windows environment & test procedures.
Understanding of the testing lifecycle; e.g. unit testing, smoke testing,
regression testing, etc.Strong communication skillsExperience in testing
data-driven applications.Detail oriented. Experience testing ACORD
transactions.
