Oracle DBA and Production Support with Development Experience
Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Duration: Long Term
Rate: $33/hour c2c [Sorry, Not Flexible]
Excellent communication and technical skills is a MUST
Oracle Database Administrator with 5-7 years experience is needed for a
centralized DBA group providing 7x24 support for development, test and
production systems in a Multi-Vendor, UNIX environment. Job will include
support for multiple applications and versions of Oracle. Normal work schedule
is 8-5 Monday thru Friday. DBA will be on-call 7X24 for one week out of every 2
months on average. Must also be prepared to support releases and maintenance
activities on weekends and nights as required. The off-hours
maintenance/release activity will average 1 weekend per month for approx 4-6
hours. Excellent communication skills are required.
Responsibilities include designing, installing, upgrading, patching, tuning,
monitoring, troubleshooting, capacity planning and security administration,
supporting multiple applications concurrently. Required skills include Unix and
Scripting, and support of Oracle databases including Oracle SQL, Performance
Tuning, RMAN Backup and Recovery, and general database troubleshooting.
Additional desirable skills include Advanced Replication, Data Guard, Streams,
PLSQL, and RAC.
