*Scope of Services: *
-The Specialist III will convert to be experienced and technically qualified
with hands on experience in IBM z/990 mainframe COBOL, DB2, ADABAS platforms
within the z/VM, z/LINUX and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) environment.
-These resources need to be technically qualified with related knowledge
associated to convert applications to the IBM z/990 mainframe based upon
that hardware and operating system and associated program product software
which additionally supports the z/OS systems utilizing DB2 Version 7&8, DB2
UDB for S/390, DB2 Connect, LDAP Security, WebSphere, Java, RACF iTIM
Interface and PKI security related management.
-These resources will also provide technical expertise, consultation and
leadership to the NYPD Systems Programming Section and Data Base Group in
the architectural design, development, deployment, support, performance and
tuning, problem analysis, identification and determination through
resolution and maintenance of the z/VM z/LINUX operating systems and
interfaces to associated program products including workload management,
application and database virtual servers and PKI as needed. Additional data
base knowledge utilizing DB2, ADABAS, SEQ Server, FoxPro is required.
