Please reply me back with updated resume and contact details *Position: Senior Query and Reports Developer/Architect Location: New york City* *Duration: 6 + Months To be considered for the position, candidates must possess the following mandatory skills and experience:* - Strong hands-on expert knowledge in the design and development of reports and queries using an - enterprise level reporting tools such as Crystal Reports, Actuate, or Info Advantage. - Proficiency with SQL preferably in an Oracle or DB2 environment. Hands-on experience with - performance considerations for data access within Oracle or DB2. - Substantial experience with strong understanding of logical and physical data modeling, especially in the creation of business intelligence data models, access methods, designs and strategies. - Must have excellent business analysis skills, able to interact with senior business staff to derive and interpret needs. - Must have strong communication skills with proficiency for detailed documentation. - Must have strong organizational, communication, and relationship skills. - Understanding of ETL process and data conversion methods. Experience with Pervasive Data - Integrator (PDI) preferred. - Must be a self-starter with the ability to work with minimal direction. - 3 years experience with hands-on development of large scale reporting systems preferably in the context of business intelligence information. - 3 years leadership or management experience in system or report development, including executive management reporting. - BA in Computer Science, or related field from a nationally accredited college or university or equivalent work experience. Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: - Ensure appropriate structures are put in place to identify end user data access and reporting needs and help business users towards defining detail requirements. - Develop, maintain, report, and take responsibility for timely delivery of report development activities and issues on a weekly basis, working collaboratively with team members. - Analyze data and reporting requirements to recommend and design solutions through the creation of appropriate reports and query structures. - Gain proficiency with client data models and data dependencies to provide the best possible assistance to business users and owners in their data access needs. - Design and develop new reports and queries to support the business data access needs. - Develop, maintain, and provide weekly updates to project plans for the design, development, testing, and implementation of reports or on-line queries in support of system assurance andbusiness needs. - Establish a report architect and development team that can troubleshoot reports and on-line developed queries, as well as design, develop, test and implement new system and business reports. - Assess and provide leadership and direction on the overall reporting strategy for short-term needs as well as long-term development and support viability. - Develop and maintain queries and reports to support the needs of the project as well as on-going needs of business owners. - Work closely with team members to ensure a compliant and consistent reporting strategy and environment. - Provide guidance and leadership to staff members in the use of query and reporting tools. - Assist in the establishment and maintenance of query and reporting environments. - Maintain detailed design and development documentation for reports and on-line queries -- Best Regards, Anand.
