Job Description: MDI's client is the leading telecommunications provider in the United States. Responsibilities: This position is responsible for supporting Payments applications. They will be required to make changes to oracle databases, search Unix logs through many different vtiers, push code to admin and managed servers by utilizing WebLogic and Unix scripts, create ad hoc reports and perform sanity testing for scheduled releases. They will also be responsible for ensuring the applications are available for production 99.995% of the year. They will be responsible for resolving any issues that are opened against their suite of applications and working with development teams as well as many other organizations to resolve the issue. Good communications skills and decision-making ability are a must as the person will interface with the business daily. The ability to present the issue to the business internal customer and follow it to resolution will be part of their day-to-day responsibilities. Qualifications: 5+ years of Unix scripting 5+ years of Oracle/SQL scripting 5+ years of production application support 5+ years of WebLogic experience 5+ years of experience with Microsoft 2+ years of Java/HTML experience Ability to work in fast paced environment with minimal supervision. Good communication skills and decision making a must. Knowledge of Payments applications preferred.
