Position: Oracle DBA Location: Santa Cruz, CA Duration: 6 months Contract to hire Hourly Rates: $50/hr Qualified Candidates will have: Technical Experience & Competencies * Websphere e Commerce platform including application servers, web portal, ORACLE Database * Advanced skills with database administration (e.g. database security, data access techniques, SQL, and data base tuning & auditing) * 5 or more years experience working with MS SQL database, DB2, DB/400, Oracle, Sybase and/or Informix databases. * Advanced knowledge of Unix,Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems Additional experience a plus: * Knowledge of infrastructure designs and components (Cisco Systems, IBM, etc.) * Knowledge of IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) terms and concepts * Knowledge of project management terms and concepts (PMI, PRINCE2, etc.) General experience and competencies: * Minimum 5 years experience in information technology * Minimum 3 year experience in a production operations analysis or control function * Experience working in a production data center and operation at high service levels within a medium to large organization * Experience working in an IT environment of +250 users * Solid understanding of IT change controls and processes * Solid understanding of IT production administration and operational activities and controls * Fundamental technical understanding of Information Technology (networks, systems, applications) * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Positive attitude * Ability to work independently or under general direction only * Timely, proactive, responsive and follow-through on deliverables * Solid business acumen & understands business implications of decisions * Able to collaborate and communicate with other IT and project team members effectively and at their level * Strong organizational skills and detail oriented * General understanding of IT regulatory requirements (SOX, PCI, etc.) * Fluent within the Microsoft Office suite (including Visio) Thanks for your support, Andy Smith | Recruiter | Metasense Inc NJ SBE | MBE | WBE Certified Tel : 201-793-8747 Fax: 856-475-0555 100 Technology Way, Suite 320 | Mt.
