User Interface (UI) Designer Location: PA Duration: 6 Months Rate: $ 50/Hr. CTC ( MAX ) * Solid experience in MS Expression and .Net/Silverlight is must.... The User Interface (UI) Designer will be responsible for design of intuitive interfaces that enhance the user experience in the highly dynamic control room environment. The ideal candidate will possess a high level of creativity and ability to translate ideas into functional designs. The UI Designer will interact with senior UI Designers, Business Analysts, Developers, and Users on the User Experience and Visualization (UE&V) project. * Create visual design throughout the entire product development lifecycle, from initial exploration through final design deliverables, such as high-fidelity screen layouts, user interface elements, and prototypes * Implement visual designs in MS Expression Blend * Translate user feedback into visual user interfaces and design improvements * Collaborate with designers and developers on visual comps and provide input from an information architecture perspective * Communicate design strategy and rationale to key stakeholders * Develop new approaches to complex design problems and conveying ideas in tangible form * Focus on HCI and user centered design principles and uses these elements as foundation for design solutions and informational approach Required Skills: * A Bachelor's degree with additional coursework in human-computer interaction, cognitive science, a design discipline or computer science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessary * Three or more years of diverse professional experience in the design of technology-based user experiences is required (control room interface design experience preferred). * Experience with developing wireframes in the MS Expression Blend is critical. * Excellent oral and written communication skills to facilitate consultation with clients, vendors, and other internal management and staff are critical. * Strong analytical and visual skills, with a thorough understanding of human-computer interaction principles and design heuristics is essential. * Solid experience in HTML, CSS, MS Expression Blend, Adobe Suite, XAML (preferred), .NET/Silverlight (also a plus) Thanks & Regards, -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Adi Sastry PRIMUS Global Services Inc.
