Make sure the Consultant's skills match the requirement. *Position: Database Design Architect/Database Development Lead* *Duration:** 6 months* *Location:** New York City* *Rate: open* Notes: • Extensive experience in SQL Server 2005 Database Design/Development • Hardcore Database Designer and Developer: • Build a brand new application and someone has to design database , SSIS, SSAS is a plus; For example, This is the specs and we have to build the application, design the database, her is the front end and this is what we need to do. • Build a brand new application from ground up, not just looking for someone who can write stored procedures,triggers, etc. Solid Database Design Skills • Need this person to be able to gather the requirements and transform this to functional specifications and build the application, design, functionality, look/feel of it as well as take guidance from the users as to how they want this done. • In-depth knowledge of writing T-SQL (Transact SQL), MDX, writing complex stored procedures and scheduling DTS packages for batch jobs • Strong conceptual, analytical, and design skills qualities. • As for additional candidates, please check that they have experience in doing full interaction with databases e.g. Insert, Update, Delete etc. not just the Read Only part -- Thanks and Regards, Prabhu K.
