Start: ASAP Target pay: $25 hourly Location: Mequon, Wisconsin *Required Experience:* · 5+ years of Software Quality Assurance experience with 2+ year experience in design and implementation of performance testing solutions in distributed software systems for high transaction volumes (1Mday). · 3+ years of design and implementation of performance tests using MS VSTS supporting a SOA based Microsoft .NETC# and SQL Server platform. · Strong understanding of and proven experience with HP MS VSTS performance test suite. · Strong understanding of system performance characteristics, points of measurement and key indicators of large scale, heterogeneous distributed system environments. · Knowledge of performance engineering concepts including but not limited to performance modeling and simulation methodologies and techniques. · Knowledge of software development technologies including ASP.NetC#, ASPVBScript, XML, SQL, Java and OO concepts. · The selected candidate will pride themselves in being accountable, take ownership of their goals and work plan, work collaboratively and proactively to avoid and close outstanding issues, and establishes a high level of credibility with others in the organization. · BEBTechBS in Computer science or related field is preferred; comparative professional tenure and proven work product will be considered. *Key Responsibilities:* * *Work with the SQA Manager and Technical Architecture Team to understand project architecture and business requirements to execute a performance test strategy. Collaborate with the Engineering Lead to define the platform components for inclusion in performance testing and identify test scenarios for the same. Work independently and should be able to manage his/her time with minimal supervision. Develop scalable, re-usable test scripts using MS VSTS HTTP protocol. Heavy scripting in MS VSTS to create performance testing scripts. Identify and articulate performance risks in the solution to project team, as well as collaborate with the Functional and Development teams to identify potential solutions. Clearly present test results to the project team and provide commentary on areas of strength and risk. Proactively escalate any scheduling conflicts or potential timeline risks across all projects to management. Work across project to schedule all performance tests and manage all performance testing timelines. Work with third-party vendors like MS VSTS for any technical support issues. Work on continuously improving the efficiency of the performance lab environment, testing and result reporting process. Includes defining and prioritizing improvements/tools to improve testing efficiency. Provide technical help in identifying and rolling out new technologies/tools and methodologies for load testing and stress testing.
