This is Prabhu from Levanture Inc *Job Title:* Certified Project Manager *Work Location:* Jackson, MS *Duration: 6+months* *Position Description/Responsibilities:* Our Client is seeking the services of a Certified Project Manager to assist their Chief Information Officer (CIO) with the acquisition and oversight of an Electronic Health Record System and E-Prescribe System (EHR) and associated Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) services. The EHR acquisition includes the design, development and implementation of an electronic health records system while the IV&V services acquisition provides for the monitoring, for quality assurance, of all services and deliverables provided by the EHR awarded vendor. The IV&V services also include the creation of a test plan and the facilitation of testing of the EHR for acceptance by the Client. All candidates must have extensive verifiable experience in the planning, budgeting, and management of large application development / implementation projects; review of deliverables from projects of similar size and scope; and public sector procurement, including preparation and/or evaluation of vendor proposals. A successful candidate will be one who: - Works effectively with vendors and clients to successfully implement large-scale information technology initiatives; - Has strong oral and written communication skills; - Has demonstrated the ability to effectively develop, track, and manage project work plans. *ROLE* The Project Manager will serve as an agent of the Client to provide oversight services for the EHR and IV&V projects including, but not limited to, assisting with the evaluation of proposals submitted in response to the EHR and IV&V RFPs as well as monitoring the project schedules and timelines to ensure the awarded vendors remain on task while providing quality software, services and any associated deliverables for which they are contractually obligated. *SCOPE OF WORK* - Awarded individual(s) will be required to review and evaluate all proposals submitted in response to the EHR and IV&V RFPs. - Awarded individual(s) will review EHR and IV&V vendors' weekly and milestone reports to track all deliverables, using Microsoft Project 2003, to determine if the EHR and IV&V projects are on schedule. - Awarded individual will assist in the identification of risk(s) that may negatively impact the EHR and/or IV&V project plans. - Awarded individual will track all identified risk(s) and work with EHR and IV&V vendors and CIO to develop a plan(s) to mitigate such risk(s). - Awarded individual(s) must participate in weekly vendor status meeting(s) with the CIO. - Awarded individual(s) will manage project participants geographically located in multiple areas via telephone and email. - Awarded individual(s) will manage multiple vendors and the associated contracts. - Awarded individual(s) will manage multiple projects and tasks. - Upon completion of the contract, awarded individual will provide a "Lessons Learned" report to MDOM's CIO, and facilitate a discussion of this report. - Awarded individual(s) will remain on contract until the completion of the EHR implementation phase (Phase I) and the completion of the IV&V services contract *Position Requirements/Technical Skills:* *MANDATORY SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE* Individual(s) interested must possess a valid Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification. The Consultant must confirm they are listed in the PMI Credential Registry.
