Hi, *NEED ONLY LOCALS.* *Location: Phoenix, AZ* *WAS (Websphere Application Server) System Administrator* *Contract Duration: 10 weeks* LOCALS Prefered** Candidate will play a principal role in build out of environments of WAS 6.x and Vignette in a multi-function, multi-platform, multi-tier, mission-critical J2EE/WebSphere environment. Candidate must have experience in large scale mainstream J2EE container (WebSphere v6) administration on UNIX (AIX and Linux preferred) using GUI and command-line utilities as well as a solid understanding of J2EE application architecture. Candidate will split time between build out duties, performance testing and tuning, as well as front-line production support, problem determination, and support of lower tiers as dictated by shifting priorities and server service levels. *Essential Duties and Responsibilities WebSphere System Administrator* Design, install, configure, update, administer, monitor, and tune WebSphere infrastructure on IBM AIX and Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES IBM WebSphere v6.x IBM HTTPServer v1.3.x and v2.x (including SSL and WebSphere plug-in) IBM/Tivoli Directory Server v5.x Provide J2EE application deployment, and troubleshooting support for development groups Problem determination using log file and Java stack trace analysis Design, implement, and refine wscp/wsadmin and Ant scripts in support of J2EE application deployment and supporting resources *Technical Experience Senior WebSphere System Administrator* 2+ years large scale mainstream J2EE container (WebSphere preferred) installation configuration (with an emphasis on the use of command-line installation and configuration), and problem resolution on Unix (AIX and, to a lesser degree, Red Hat Linux preferred) 2+ years IBM HTTP Server v 1.3.x and 2.0.x installation, configuration, and problem resolution on Unix (AIX and, to a lesser degree, Red Hat Linux preferred) including SSL & WebSphere plug-in configuration Experience with Korn and Bash command shells, scripting, and Unix utilities in support of the above • Thorough knowledge of the J2EE application packaging, and deployment Experience with wsadmin scripting in support of the above Experience with Oracle, webMethods, Enterprise Services Platform, Rational ClearCase & ClearQuest desirable. *General Skills Required* Ability to align technical capabilities with business need Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with IT managers and peers, customers, and vendor Strong analytical and problem solving ability Ability to assess competing solutions to a given problem or need and select the best fit *Desired Vignette skills:* Installation and administration of Vignette Application Portal 7.X.
