*Greetings from Levanture Inc.* * * *Role: Data stage dataware house developer* * * *Duration: 6 month contract with possible extension* *Due date: 4/3/09* Rate: Open: Location: Des Moines Iowa. *Overview:* To conduct systems analysis, design, and maintenance which support Wellmark's business and I/S applications. To lead analysis and programming related to systems analysis, design, integration and maintenance to support Wellmark's business and I/S applications. Build relationships with Wellmark leaders and act as consultant on business process improvements and technology enhancements or capabilities. *Responsibilities:* 4-6 years experience in applications development and/or technical business analysis.§ Knowledge of project methodology.§ Experience in programming languages (e.g. DataStage, Quality Stage, Korn Shell).§ Experience in of programming techniques - structured and/or object-oriented.§ Knowledge of IT infrastructure.§ MIS, Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience *Qualifications:* - Experience with DataStage v8.0x and the Complex File Stage in v.8. - Worked with DataStage Parallel Extender, preferably in DataStage v8.0.x - Worked in DataStage for 2-3 years and in Data Warehousing for at least 4 years. - Solid experience with transformer, filter & join in DataStage. - Demonstrated experience with QualityStage including profiling, standardization, matching, and survivorship. - Understands and applies ETL Best practices in previous projects. - DataStage experience should include all aspects of ETL, including work of high complexity and including both development and design work - Must be competent developing applications in UNIX environment and in writing KornShell (KSH) scripts - Experience working on IBM DB2 and SQL Server databases; Sybase IQ experience a plus - Knowledge of Modeling tools - Sybase Power Designer preferred and Reporting tools - Business Objects preferred. - Excellent communication skills - Proven ability to mentor less experienced staff - Experience using DataStage v8.0.x complex file stage to process complex format source files from legacy mainframe systems.
