This is for my direct client opening for *SW Systems Engineer - Boston, MA*. This is a *6* *months* *Contract* position. The Hourly rate is *DOE. Local candidates are highly preferred.* *Project Description*: Individual must have high-level design expertise and hands-on experience. He/She will be responsible for the implementation end to end system designs, flow through analysis and service delivery, including but not limited to, back end system integration. This ESL System architect will work with other Engineering organizations to determine the impact of deploying new services onto our existing Operation and IT Infrastructures. *Specific Responsibilities Include: * 1-Deep knowledge of new and emerging technologies and market trends 2-Participate as part of a team in the ideation process of new services 3-Building business cases for such solutions 4-Drive the search, analysis and selection processes of vendors’ solutions 5-Own the delivery of system and network design and architecture document(s) 6-Support the prototype and test teams in the implementation phase as well as reviewing system test plans and work directly with product vendors to resolve issues 7-Work/lead system integration and application developers 8-Support Marketing with Product Definition, competitive analysis and other technically related tasks 9-Manage the evolution of the lab with systems and networking equipment required to support quick service prototyping, internal trials, customer demonstrations and other lab-related activities 10-Consult with other organizations in areas where this individual is a subject matter expert 11-Deliver presentations and demonstrations to Management on new concepts * * *Required skills and Expertise:* 1-10+ years as a lead system design/architect 2-An MS degree or Phd in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related technical field preferred 3-Service provider AND enterprise experience (preferably in product and service development) 4-Deep knowledge of transport, routing, switching technologies for data, VoIP and video 5-Has experience in directory, security and application layer services such as web services and social networking tools 6-Has some good understanding of system, network and back-end management platforms 7-Must have good communication skills, presentation skills and ability to work as part of a team 8-Must be comfortable in interacting with senior technical leadership, internally and externally *Please complete the following skills-matrix and send back with your updated resume. * * * Full Name: Degree Major: Total IT Experience: Total SW Systems Engineer exp: Total exp as a lead system design/architect: Total Service provider AND enterprise exp: Total exp with transport, routing, switching technologies for data, VoIP and video: Total exp in directory, security and application layer services such as web services and social networking tools: Total exp with system, network and back-end management platforms: Hourly Rate: Whether is it C2C/1099/W2?
