Project Description: -Solid foundation of c/ c++ (3 plus years of experience), good understanding of encryption and key management. -Expert with the languages C and C++, C#, Java -Basic computer science knowledge, examples: -Knows how -1 is represented in a computer -Knows the difference between a fault and an exception -Actual usage of modern cryptographic functions in previous work -Knows how crypto works, but not necessarily every step of the algorithms which implement it; the following are examples: -Knows what an IV is and why it is used -Knows what the Rijndael algorithm is and its significance -Knows what 128 bit versus 256 bit encryption is (more knowledgeable than stating that 256 bit is usually stronger) -Knows what the GOST algorithm is -Knows what problem RSA encryption is based upon -Knows what the difference between "Diffie-Hellman" and "Elliptic Curve Diffie-Hellmen" is -Knows the underlying differences between SHA-2 and SHA-1 -Experience with PKI and symmetric key rotation -Experience implementing TCP/IP sockets on Windows and UNIX/Linux using each of the languages described above -Experience implementing multi-threaded applications on Windows and UNIX/Linux using the multiple languages described above -Knows the difference between a semaphore and a mutex, and has used such objects in practice -Knows the difference between a race condition and a dead-lock -Knows what a critical section is -Experience performing a full SDLC Please complete the following skills-matrix and send back with your updated resume.
