Position: Network Project Manager Location: Sacramento, CA Period: 12 Months Mandatory Qualifications: 1. Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience working with state staff and management, and public sector executives; 2. At least five (5) years experience performing executive level leadership for IT projects; 3. At least two (2) years experience managing projects with multiple geographical business locations; 4. At least two (2) years experience managing complex IT network component upgrade projects; 5. Experience managing or leading projects with a variety of stakeholders and multiple project dependencies; and 6. Knowledge of state IT policy and governance processes. 1. PMP or equivalent project management certification; 2. Understanding of the state budget process; 3. Experience with projects supporting health care environments; 4. Experience deploying enterprise technology solutions within a health care or correctional environment; 5. Experience with business reengineering projects; 6. Experience in business process change management; 7. Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently. Tasks/Activities: 1. Responsible for managing the rollout of network infrastructure hardware to seventeen (17) adult correctional institutions statewide. The PM will also be responsible for managing UHRC project teams and all sub-project managers, and completing the Institution Network Initiative by January 2011 2. Develop and maintain the Project Management Plan (PMP), and all other project management artifacts required by CLIENT for complex IT projects; 3. Provide day-to-day management of UHRC Project including, but not limited to, coordination of all project activities related to establishment of a standardized health information system (e.g., Clinical Data Repository [CDR] Project, etc.); 4. Provide day-to-day direction for State and Contractor resources assigned to the project; 5. Manage project to current work plans and coordinate availability of scheduled resources for the project; 6. Manage all project resources and ensure that appropriate funds are available throughout the term of the project; 7. Maintain status reporting, budget/cost reporting, and issue and risk reporting; 8. Lead change management and change control in coordination with CLIENT and CLIENT program and IT staff; 9. Monitor and maintain UHRC Project development and implementation schedules; and 10. Develop and implement quality assurance processes to ensure all project objectives are met, milestones are achieved, and stakeholder*s expectations are addressed.
