Job Title: SQL Server DBA Location: Columbus, Ohio--Need Locals Duration: 6 Months Start Date: Immediately SQL Server 2008 is required and production support experience is required. Description: Analyzes, develops, tests and implements database designs in support of corporate and client area technology requirements. Performs data modeling, logical and physical database design. Includes maintenance of database dictionaries, monitoring of standards and procedures, access methods and time, validation checks, organization and statistical methods. Responsible for data loading, security, performance monitoring and tuning, capacity planning, and backup and recovery. Executes database software installation, database creations/configurations and loads. Required Skills: SQL 2000/5/8 Responsibilities: * SQL 2K and SQL 2005 and SQL 2008 * RDBMS installation, upgrades, administration, configuration and tuning * Establish and maintain DBA-related "Requirements Document" * Translate client user requirements into technical architecture vision and implementation plan * Problem and issue resolution * Participation in proposal development and client presentations * Startup and Shutdown of database instances * Configuration and management of redolog files * Monitoring free space in tablespaces and extending or adding datafiles to the tablespaces * Backup of database Prasad Ling Technologies, Inc.
