Requirement (1) Details : Title: Software Configuration Administrator Location: Raleigh , NC Duration: 12 months contract Our Direct Client is seeking a short term (approx. 12 month) contractor to serve as a Software Configuration Administrator for the NC to support the development and implementation of North Carolina Families . The selected candidate must have excellent communication skills and ability to plan procedures with information relevant to achieve maximum productivity and quality assurance. Responsibilities include: . Development, maintenance and overall configuration management of the product software baselines, documentation, and development environment . Management of the software project repositories . Create and establish appropriate project(s) software configuration environment. . Communication with all stakeholders (including but not be limited to sharing project status, issues, risks, and change management activities). . Ensure compliance with higher order data and configuration management directives . Assist in the development of the Configuration Management procedures, maintaining Change Request records and maintaining the Configuration Management Plan. Required High degree of technical oriented knowledge with significant practical experience: . Information systems activities, such as systems analysis, systems design, programming and implementation. . Experience with a structured systems/software developmental life cycle (SDLC) associated with application development (custom distributed, COTS implementation, mainframe based, client/server, web/internet based). . Extensive working administration experience with one of the following: ü CollabNet Team Forge 5.x (CTF), ü CollabNet SourceForge Enterprise Edition 5.x (CSFE), ü CollabNet Enterprise Edition (CEE). . Subversion Administration experience . Experience in designing version control strategies using Subversion to support multi-project parallel development. . In-depth knowledge of Branching, Merging, Base lining, build and patch strategies in Subversion. . Ability to support parallel development project teams. . Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders, work with diverse/varied functional users . Ability to interact effectively with highly technical personnel, translate and communicate highly technical concepts, plans and procedures to both technical personnel and non-IT business users. Requirement (2) Details : Title: Software Application Manager Location: Raleigh , NC Duration: 12 months contract Client is seeking a short term (approx. 12 month) contractor to serve as the Software Applications Manager for the NC to support the development and implementation of North Carolina Families. This project is using the Cúram Software Application Suite Responsibilities will include: . Managing and assisting with the design, development, and implementation of the Cúram software application and databases on an n-tier client server platform . Interfacing with various platforms that may include mainframe, server and standalone PC . Gathering and defining project requirements . Identifying technical risks and issues . Identifying and implementing mitigation plans for risks and resolutions for identified issues . Providing technical support through recommendations regarding methods to solve problems . Interacting with key resources to solve problems of high complexity . Utilizing consulting skills with customers regarding issues and requests that require the creation and or implementation of customized solutions. Required : . High degree of business and technical oriented knowledge . Significant practical experience in information systems activities. . Systems analysis, systems design, programming and implementation . Experience with a structured systems/ software developmental life cycle (SDLC) associated with application development. . Experience in a management role on a previous Cúram implementation . Excellent communication and organization skills . Ability to translate technical ideas and issues into clear and concise language. . Must possess skills such as: conflict resolution, negotiation/ mediation, problem solving and analytic skills. Preferred: . Prior experience implementing Social Enterprise systems. Requirement (3) Details : Title: Database Reports Developer Location: Raleigh , NC Duration: 12 months contract The Common Education Data Analysis and Reporting System (CEDARS) will be the first state level education data warehouse in North Carolina. It will collect data from roughly 23 systems of original entry and feed them into databases designed for both Operational and Longitudinal analysis. The position will be the primary Database Reports Developer for the CEDARS Reports Project and will require strong analysis with report writing DBA skills. As such, the candidate will be charged with understanding how data is mapped from source systems, through the Extraction Transform Load (ETL) process, to the data warehouse. Additionally, the candidate is expected to understand how data maps from source systems to the various DPI reports that are generated from the data warehouse. The candidate will be the key resource that DPI will depend upon to coordinate data structural changes with the CEDARS data warehouse vendor, including but not limited to the addition of new data fields from existing and new source systems, deletion of data fields from the data warehouse, and changes to the format of data fields in the data warehouse. Finally, this candidate will support the modification of existing CEDARS reports and the creation of new reports to meet end user business needs. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements: Minimum 3 years skills/knowledge/experience with the following: . Report Writing, with experience using Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) tools. . Data Warehousing schema and concepts . Extraction Transform Load (ETL) processing . Database-to-Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) integration . Database design and Database modeling . Creation of data marts . Connectivity of database infrastructure to other system components & applications . Database Performance Analysis and database performance tuning, particularly for Data Warehouse database configurations. . SQL tuning . Ability to effectively provide technical documentation . Ability to work independently . Possess good organization and communication skills. Requirement (4) Details : Title: Cúram Applications DBA Location: Raleigh , NC Duration: 12 months contract Client is seeking a short term (approx. 12 month) contractor to serve as Cúram Applications DBA on the Oracle Database Platform for the North Carolina Division of Information Resource Mgmt (DIRM. This position will support the development and implementation of NC Families Accessing Services through Technology (NC FAST). Primary responsibilities include: . Cúram application database support . Managing the Cúram application schema and extensions within the database, in development, test and production environments . Database technical support, application administration and consulting. . Oracle, Oracle RAC, Oracle Data guard, and Oracle Enteprise suite in an AIX environment. . Working with developers to identify and refine data requirements, database design, database migration planning, database software installation . Applying new releases/patches, configuration, performing backup and recovery . Monitoring database performance, and reorganizing database structures as needed . Creation and modification of test and production data, base schemas . Primary role in the creation of database migration plans . Development of procedures for effective database use . Ensuring standards are met. Required: . Demonstrable skills with Cúram Software and database schema and Oracle database software including Oracle Database Server 10G/11G, Oracle Real Application Servers (RAC) and Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN) on AIX. . Ability to install, configure, patch, monitor, tune, backup and restore Oracle database servers. . Ability to author code in SQL, PL/SQL and Unix/Linux. . Proficiency in one or more shell scripting languages. . Experience in a Cúram software development environment . Considerable Oracle skills . Ability to establish/maintain effective working relationships . Ability to cooperatively work on a team, plan and coordinate the work of others. . Communicate effectively both orally and written Preferred: . Skills with Oracle Data Guard, advanced security and SQL replication . IT technical certifications. . Experience using SharePoint .
