Title: WebSphere Admin Duration: 4+ months. Rate: $50/hr c2c * Local to MN preferred but not required. * Local to the Midwest atleast - MN, IL, WI, IA, SD, ND. * An in person interview will be necessary. Job Description: Must Haves: * Websphere and Tomcat and JBoss application admin/support exp. * They will be going from JBoss to Websphere so JBoss exp is needed too. * Must have application migration exp. * Must have good communication skills. . Understand how the presentation application works (currently runs on JBoss with plans to migrate to WebSphere at some date) . Understand business needs and processes and convert to our processes (change and incident management) . Understand the middle tier components (located here and supported by AMS) (currently java / tomcat based application) Model after Westlaw next. . The application uses 2 3rd party software (Quova and Data Quality) in house expertise exists, but we will need to finalize the operational support model Duties: . Be a point of contact for the developers in Atlanta . Be a escalation point for the team when support issues for middle tier environment arise . Assist with software deployments and on call responsibilities. . Prepare a document outlining the efforts to migrate support of the presentation tier to AMS and what resources are needed to support the application from end to end at a tier one level. Required Skills: . WebSphere / Tomcat . JBoss . Linux . Past application support experience with the technologies mentioned above . Experience with project management or application migrations.
