Looking for a Sr. DB2 (IBM) database migration consultant to assist with our migration/replatforming project at USBank as follows; - assess HP team with focus on analyzing existing DB2 environments including all tuning/performance parameters and learnings from existing customer environments. - map existing parameters to new platform and coordinate with HP and customer system administrators to optimally configure new Red Hat linux platform - assist HP team to plan for migrations/moves of DB2 databases from AIX Unix(IBM) to Red Hat Linux(on HP) - assist customer DB administrators to validate and test database integrity and completeness - coordinate with HP and customer Linux Administrators and performance tuning experts to set up and adjust DB2 parameters for optimizal performance of new environment. Skills - sr. Db2 administration with AIX with emphasis on migrations/installations - Preferably have Red Hat Linux as well as AIX - Db2 Performance/Tuning experiences a plus but not absolutely required Schedule - Nearly immediately.... We can start next week if available. At minimum will want an introductory call with client at some point next week - Preferably part of this delivery will be onsite, but later on probably can be remote.
