Title: SQL Server DBA Location: Madison, WI Duration: 8 -10 Weeks (2+ Months) Our client is looking for someone to support and maintain their SQL Server environment. This person will be working on a small team, so they will have a large amount of responsibility with all Microsoft Data Technologies. This person will relieve the client's current *DBA* who will be spending some of her time on their upcoming SAP implementation. The entire project is part of a modernization effort for the client. They are switching everything to the .NET platform. *Duties * Review, evaluate, and maintain multiple databases in development and production environments to support enterprise level applications; Work with development teams on all aspects of database design including tables, views, stored procedures, permissions, etc; Create, test, and conduct performance tuning on SQL Server databases; Develop SQL processes for data loading, migration and application interfaces; Create deployment scripts, including rollback scripts, for all SQL Server changes; Perform security configuration, administration, and reporting; Develop and enforce organizational SQL standards and best practices; Maintain database administration documentation and schematics Assist with the establishment and implementation of best practices regarding data definition, data quality, data security, and data integration Analysis, development, and generation of reports utilizing Reporting Services. Provide level 3 supports for databases used by existing applications and develops process to resolve user requests for various business applications. Creation, maintenance, updates and troubleshooting of SSIS/DTS packages. *Skills * In depth SQL Server Database Administration experience Minimum 5+ years of database infrastructure administration experience in an enterprise environment with SQL Server 2000, 2005 and 2008 on Windows Server technology.
