There is an urgent need to evaluate and plan how to upgrade the hardware and software. The Senior Consultant's role will be to evaluate the current hardware and software in the Treasury web environment; make recommendations and plan for the update of hardware and software in order to take advantage of opportunities for future enhancements; and develop migration and training plans, based on industry best practices. The selected candidate will be required to perform the following tasks in support of this upgrade planning project: • Conduct analysis of the current Sun server based Java application environment, determine upgrade scenarios based on a cost/benefit analysis, and recommend an upgrade strategy • Design a system architecture that meets current and future needs, and be a lead participant in the *System Architecture Review (SAR)* process by completing the SAR documents and attending the SAR meetings • Recommend tools for increasing the effectiveness and speed of the application development process, including but not limited to the following: o Rapid Application Development (RAD) o Continuous integration tools where team members integrate their work frequently o Build tools o Documentation and version control o Quality metrics o Automated testing and test-driven development o Server and application performance tools, including load and performance testing o Centralized issue management tools which prioritize, assign, track, report, and audit issues (including bug tracking) o Legacy integration and rules integration • Provide knowledge transfer and recommend new processes to implement future upgrades based on industry best practices • Develop an effective training plan for OIT staff • Formally present findings of analysis and recommendations to management • Be proactive in informing management of progress and issues that may impact progress by attending and conducting mutually agreed upon regularly scheduled meetings • Design architecture for an organization at an enterprise level • Evaluate and revise business processes • Develop migration plans for server based Java applications to Sun platform • Preparation of cost/benefit analyses for various scenarios • Develop organizational plans *Required / Desired Skills:* * * *Skill Required / Desired*** * * Clear oral and written communication skills in the English language Required Knowledge of Sun Application Server and Solaris OS Required Proficiency in developing and providing high-level executive briefings Required Knowledge of Oracle 10g to Oracle 11 Upgrades Highly desired Server virtualization experience Highly desired Experience with development toolsets for Sun Required Experience with project plans using MS-Project Required Experience with presentation tools (e.g., Power Point) Required *If you are interested with the above opening please send the below information ASAP* *Email me a copy of your updated WORD formatted resume with the below details….* 1.
