Position: *COBOL II DB2 /Java Developer with Changeman* Location: Roanoke, Virginia Duration: 6 months, with extension likely * * Client is requesting a software developer to assist in a SAP new development project that will create numerous interfaces between legacy systems and SAP. The candidate will work with NS and the System Integrator to *develop CICS programs that invoke a Web Service – so Web Service and Changeman is required!!!* The position will be filled as soon as possible. The anticipated length of service contract is 6 months but may be extended. *Education*: 4-yr College Degree preferably in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field. *Skills Required:* - *Cobol II* - *TSO * - *MVS JCL* - *DB2* - Involvement in all aspects of the System Development Life Cycle - Understanding of XML and JAVA - *DB2* - *CICS* - *Serena Changeman - a must!* - Java (J2EE, J2SE, JMS, EJB, JDBC, etc) - *Web Services* (Creation of Services and Clients) – a must - BEA WebLogic Application Server, XML, ANT * * * * *Experience required:* - 6+ years of software development - 6 – 8 years of Cobol and DB2 - 1+ years XML/JAVA - Experience using Source Manager (Changeman) This position provides the opportunity to work in a large scale, high volume mainframe environment. * * The candidate will work with NS and the System Integrator to *develop CICS programs that invoke a Web Service*, update mainframe programs to add FTP steps to numerous jobs, and other file manipulation such as packing and unpacking data elements.
