As a lead you will be responsible for the database architecture and design of all projects being executed by the Tampa, FL project teams. You will also be responsible for assisting with business development and identify new opportunities for services and capabilities that can be sold in today*s marketplace. *At least 10 years experience architecting,* designing and building large scale database solutions for distributed object-oriented OLTP system and Business Intelligence solutions (including data mining). Proven experience in leading development teams with a minimum of five members. Must have good customer facing skills and ability to recognize and create new business opportunities. Ability to create project plan (MS Project) as well as produce project cost estimate based upon customer requirements. Demonstrated capacity to work within multiple software development life cycle using processes such as agile, extreme programming, RUP and architecture-oriented. Must have knowledge of UML modeling and several object-to-relational mapping strategies along with the performance trade-offs of each. Utilizes consulting intellectual property to develop solutions that drive change throughout the entire organization to control costs, increase operational efficiencies, improve productivity, accelerate delivery time, enhance customer service, drive revenue, and cultivate business growth. Develops and enhances intellectual property through research and client experiences. Typically, the Principal Consultant I provides client solutions for a large project or several small to medium size projects with limited complexity using standard methodology. Consulting activities include identifying needs, developing, influencing, and implementing proposals. Provides direction for entire consulting project or a project team and makes decisions on approaches and procedures. Program/project management responsibilities include quality of deliverables, team, budget, schedule and invoices. Performs work under consultative direction. Interacts with company and client managers. Prepares project proposals, cost estimates and participates in sales and proposal presentations. Performance is typically measured by delivery of agreed solutions within budgeted hours as well as accomplishments in various aspects of practice development. Typically requires six or more years of prior applicable experience and at least 1 year of leadership experience. *Required Skills* ** Logical and physical data modeling experience is a must. Experience with creating logical data models using tools such Erwin for customer in the healthcare, financial services, or life insurance industry is required. * Database implementation experience must include working with multiple database engines such as Oracle, IBM DB2, Microsoft SQL Server, etc. * Database design experience must also include working with application development teams to build new applications. Therefore, must have experience designing databases to be used with Java applications using technologies such as Hibernate or TopLink or Microsoft .NET applications. * Data conversion (in terabytes) experience is strongly preferred * At least 10 years experience architecting, designing and building large scale database solutions for distributed object-oriented OLTP system and Business Intelligence solutions (including data mining). * Proven experience in leading development teams with a minimum of five members. * Multiple SQL programming languages for different databases.
