The individual selected will be responsible for: Hands-on development using Java in the MN. This role provides day-to-day technical leadership for application design, development and application integration. This individual will be required to clearly communicate with the project sponsor, project leadership and other project team members. An important aspect of this role is the ability to understand and translate functional requirements into software application functionality; the role requires the ability to read and clarify requirements, create and maintain the necessary technical documents, and develop code. - Develop applications or modules of applications, including presentation, integration, and data tier using MDH standards. - Develop programming code using approved programming tools and following Data Administration Services procedures for documentation and version control. - Deploy applications including deployment plan development, application packaging, configuration and deployment to application server environments - Test applications thoroughly using the unit, functional, load and user acceptance testing. - Coach development team so that project work is completed successfully and staff understand and can perform individual functions on the project - Ensure the appropriate level of technical documentation on the project. – * Expertise including, but not limited to: JSP s, Servlets, JNDI, and DataSources Lightweight unit testing using object mock approaches Build management with mature building frameworks like Apache Ant and Maven Continuous Integration using Hudson Deploying to, performance testing, and tuning J2EE Applications on the Oracle OC4J Container and other application servers(like Jetty, JBoss, Tomcat) Oracle Database Object and SQL development using Postgres Transaction Management at the application level or database level J2EE and classical patterns Service Oriented Architecture Frameworks/JSF framework preferably SEAM, Hibernate, Jasper Reports (at least 1 yr.
