Location: Detroit, MI Duration: 6 Plus Months Rate: $52/Hour C2C Provide First and Second level support for Ford Credit Server Infrastructure. -Perform administrative functions to support on-going operations of the existing Ford Credit Server environment, which consists of servers with various operating systems: Windows 2003, and Windows 2008, running either on VMWare or Physical Servers. -Maintain Ford Credit Citrix Farm -Apply software patches as required -Monitor server performance -Assist application teams with server and application launches -Perform SCRP/SOX related duties -Perform monthly Security Reviews -Provide root cause explanations for problems -Interface with Production Management team during outages -Implement Change control requests as appropriate -Participate in corporate technical infrastructure initiatives. -Develop hardware and software solutions related to infrastructure in keeping with established technical infrastructure strategies. -Develop administrative tools as required to enhance the management of the server environments. -Plan, develop and implement or assist with the deployment of hardware / software products within Ford Credit locations. -Core Business hours are from 8:00am to 5:00pm -Duty analyst rotation for 24x7x365 support -Will be required to work weekends, provide off hours support, and carry a pager Skills Required: -In depth knowledge of Windows server 2003 /2008 operating systems -Administration of Windows 2003 or Windows 2008 servers -Strong analytical and problem solving skills -Experience with server performance monitoring tools -Working knowledge of VMWare -Experience with Citrix -Experience with Microsoft SMS or SCCM products a plus -Working knowledge of standard Windows tool sets -Ability to research answers to support issues -Ability to handle more than one project or support issue at a time -Microsoft IIS and SQL installation, configuration, and support knowledge -Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Active Directory technology and corporate Active Directory Implementation -Hardware experience with Intel Servers -Working knowledge of Virus Scanning technologies -Project management skills -Understand TCP/IP Networks -Firewall security and network experience a plus -Knowledge of data storage and backup technologies Skills Preferred: -Understanding of Object Oriented programming methodologies -.Net, C#, VB.Net, Visual Studio 2005 or higher, MS SQL Server 2005 or higher -Perl and/or Powershell programming -Experience with Crystal Reports or similar -Proven ability to build and maintain strong positive relationships with business, technology partners, and team members Experience Required: Must have experience providing Windows Server support in a large corporate environment. Experience Preferred: Have used/supported SCCM, Citrix Have experience creating server support tools.
