Coordinates database changes and testing. The position will support development for: PeopleSoft, PASS (Ariba), FileNet, JBOSS/JCAPS/Websphere based applications Mercury based testing applications Responsibilities include the installation of Oracle software, patches, troubleshooting problems, Performance Tuning, Software Configuration, Capacity Planning, Architecture and Migrations. Candidate must possess strong background in Oracle 11g database administration specifically RAC, performance tuning and backup and recovery using RMAN. This individual will build and maitain the DC government’s PeopleSoft Human Capital Management system including Application Server, Process Scheduler server, Web Server and oracle databases. Candidate must have 5+ years of experience implementing and supporting new Time and labor, eModules, data conversion and performance management modules. Candidate must be able to support Ariba Procurement, Filenet, Egate/JCAPS/JBOSS Integration, Mercury Quality Center and Dimensions databases in a high available environment. Prior knowledge of Government systems is desirable. Excellent interpersonal skills and prior experience with troubleshooting problems; documenting and reporting back after corrective measures have been taken. *Behavior Characteristics:* Good communication and presentation skills desirable.
