Title: Sr. Java/Sybase/Unix Developer Location: Warren, NJ Rate: $65/hr on w2 or $70/hr c2c Length: 6 Months plus
Responsibilities: * Senior Java/Sybase/Unix Programmer developer. Responsibilities will include enhancing and maintaining existing Java/Sybase code, designing and developing new financial applications, and interacting with business users, technology people, and senior management. * The candidate should be a self-motivated individual with good communication skills that works effectively as an individual contributor as well as a solid team-player * Recent experience in the financial industry a will be helpful. Requirements: * 5+ years experience in design and development of enterprise applications using Java (expert level). Core Java, JMS, Multithreading, XML, Unix/Linux, relational database (Sybase), Eclipse * Extensive experience in Spring framework, Spring Hibernate and Spring Security * Well versed in Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD, UML) * Experience in versioning software, such as SVN * Participate in and enforce solid testing procedures * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities * Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment * Solid communication skills * Knowledge of Credit Derivatives and financial markets Desired: * Service oriented architecture (SOA), distributed cache is a plus.
