Job Title: Lead Citrix Migration Consultant Work Location: Weehawken, NJ Duration: 12 months plus Rate: Up to $700/day - DOE
We are seeking an experienced Citrix Integrator/Consultant. The ideal candidate will be a key contributor to projects involving the assessment, design and implementation of complex Citrix XenApp solutions. Responsibilities: * Assist clients with the design, architecture, planning, assessment, implementation and troubleshooting of enterprise Citrix Virtualization solutions. * Planning, design and migration of information from legacy and competitive platforms, incorporating best practices and industry standard tools to minimize downtime and customer impact to users on the systems. * Incorporation of best practices regarding documentation, monitoring, administration, backup, recovery, and data management. * Cooperate with client*s System Administration teams, developer groups and software and hardware vendors to provide optimum system performance and availability * Provide knowledge transfer to designated client contacts. * Utilize excellent listening skills and strong written and spoken communications skills to enhance collaboration. * Perform other related duties as assigned by management. Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required .* 3+ years of implementation experience with Citrix XenAPP / Presentation Server (4.5 and later) * XenServer Hypervisor experience is also beneficial * Must have working knowledge of Active Directory * Experience leading large enterprise projects and requirements * Experience in support role for Citrix related services * Experience developing customer relationships and strong rapport * Excellent customer-facing skills (written and verbal communications) are a must * Must be a self-starter; take initiative, and be proactive * Ability to work independently and as part of a larger project team * Beneficial to have working knowledge of load balancers (preferably Citrix Netscalers) * Previous experience in enterprise class organizations is strongly preferred* Associated architectures may integrate Citrix with multiple hypervisors and, including: Hyper-V, XenServer, and/or VMware Vsphere.
