So if I modify the __type attribute of a javascript object, AjaxPro
will notice that and treat it as the type I specify? Then I'm allowed
to pass it as that type to an AjaxMethod? That's pretty much all I'm
looking for. I'm assuming that myAjaxFunction there accepts one
parameter of type MyClass, correct?

Also, does my class need to implement a template and/or be made
serializable? I've gone through all that, but I'm not sure what the
definitive thing I need to do in this situation is...
