well Id say support as much as you can, one thing the javascript seriously lacks is the support for getElementById, hwoever I have coem accross a funciton to getelementByName which is very useful and u may want to add it into your wrapper.
even if its a different dll for pocket IE, I would be so exteremely insanely amazingly happy if I could do even limited ajax.
