1. this is currently not possible, but I have it already on my list.  ;)

2. yes, the "/*" is needed because of some errors on Windows 2003
Server with keep-alive. Sometimes it can happen that there is a "http
100 continue" with the response, and this will be in the responseText
property of the XMLHttpRequest.
