Hello all, I'm trying to get started in Ajax .NET, but am having some difficulties.
First off, I must ask - is there any documentation for AJAX .NET? I found a "Quick Guide" on the same page that I downloaded the library from, but this was not complete or instructive. I did everything that it said to do, but I still couldn't get anything to work. Same goes for the examples on that page. I have a feeling that they were all leaving out a lot of details. None of them give a step-by-step guide to how I should get started with AJAX .NET. A manual of some sort would be really helpful. Althought I'm an experienced .NET developer, I'm new to AJAX and to JavaScript, so a lot of stuff that is probably familiar to you guys is a complete mystery to me. Any resources that you could reccommend would be helpful. Secondly, I downloaded the Starter Kit, and although this was more helpful then the "Quick Guide" or the examples, it still didn't explain to me what was going on. Basically, I'm trying to do the simplest possible thing that can be done in AJAX. All I want to do is grab some text from my .NET application in response to a click on an image. So, the user clicks on an image, the page grabs some text from my .NET application and prints it out, all without doing a page refresh. Can somebody please tell me how I should go about doing this? Thank you for your help. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ajax.NET Professional" group.
