I am not sure this is much different than the post I responded named "bind dataGrid using AJAX". You can already do the exact same thing with AJAX.NET that ASP.Net callbacks can do. The advantage is that as the writer explains, it is all integrated in the .NET 2.0 lifecycle of an ASP request.
